Hi my name is Liam Madden. My wife Louise and I are looking forward to celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this June – doesn’t time fly.
We live in Stevenage but I commute into London each day where I teach Software Engineering to Electrical Engineers.
I have been a R01 OU tutor since 1998 and have been using my tutors fee waiver since 1999 in R06.
I have had the pleasure of tutoring M206, MT262, M254, M255 and currently M256, M257 and M887 and have studied a couple of degrees worth of courses so far and have no intention of stopping!
I usually do the R01 revision weekends for the courses I am tutoring. I have also tutored M500 revision weekends when we have enough registrations (e.g. M206, MT262) – have we met?
I am a tutor monitor and mentor, so obviously I am one of those OU addicts who manage to feed their addiction because of being married to a saint.
Needless to say I couldn’t stop myself from volunteering for this escapade. My experience of collaborative work as a tutor and as a student has been, well lets say, less than convincing.
From what I have read on the blogs, the early signs looks very encouraging. Good luck to everyone.
